California web design requires thorough knowledge of the California markets, the preferences of the targeted clients, and expertise in professional web design and web development. The California web design service provider should be able to build the right connections and links between the products and services of the website client, while understanding the business needs of the client and the customers of the client. Whether the website of the client is targeted to the entire state of California or to a particular county or a region, the website design should be tailor-made to attract maximum traffic from the targeted area.

Further, the California web design provider should be able to adapt the web design to suit small, medium, and large enterprises, taking into consideration their affordable budgets and their sales and marketing targets. This would help the web designer to present custom-built web designs that would be geared to maximize the goals of the client, irrespective of the size of the company. This could be achieved only by meticulously following the basic web design aspects.

1.	The most important factor in web design is the appearance of the website and its interaction with the end users. The website should attract the visitors and make them spend more time in the website. For this, the website design should be superior to those of the competitors.

2.	The second priority is to create the right content, so that the information and the substance provided in the website should be totally relevant to the website and the targeted audience.

3.	The California web design should be completely user-friendly. The navigation in the website, the interaction process, and browsing the contents of the various pages should be simple, interesting, and reliable to the visitors.

4.	The website design should achieve complete harmony, with the text and graphics flowing in a seamless fashion and in a consistent manner. Further, the style and appearance if the website should be professional, relevant, and highly appealing.

5.	Above all, the California web design should create maximum visibility so that the website is easy to find at all the major search engines. The web design should also impress the advertisement media.

Finally, the California web design service provider should publish or upload the website on the Internet using the appropriate FTP client and use all necessary techniques to achieve maximum traffic to the website, known as the number of hits that the website receives. This would involve submission of the website to the major search engines like Google, Bing, Yahoo, etc. and also create affiliations with other similar websites.

Web designers who work for themselves will constantly face difficult decisions as they have to determine if they should accept or pass on a client’s project. Since there is no shortage of designers out there, many designers feel that they should accept every piece of work that comes their way, but that is not true.

One of the main reasons that you should not accept every project and every client is simply that some of them are not willing to pay what you need to get for your time. If you’re spending all of your time on low paying jobs it will prevent you from taking other work. Of course, there are many other reasons as well, which we will get in to.

Here we will take a detailed look at several of the most significant factors that you should always think about when you are deciding on a project or a client. When work comes your way, remember these factors and use them to help as you decide if it is something you should pursue.

1. Price

The most obvious thing that you will want to evaluate is if the potential client can afford your services. Most clients don’t have experience with web design, and that usually means they will have unrealistic expectations about how much it should cost.

If the client wants you to do your best quality of work and to dedicate time to the project, you should be able to get the amount of money that you need out of that time. If not, you may be better off to pass on the project and look for other clients. One option is to offer a lower-priced package that will make it possible for clients on a budget to use your services, but it will reduce the time commitment from you.

2. Time Line

Deadlines are an everyday part of life as a web designer. Some projects may me more flexible with deadlines and others may have multiple milestones that need to be met on the way to an overall deadline. Even in situations where the deadline is not set in stone, getting the work done in a timely manner is important to keep clients satisfied.

Some clients will want you to finish their project by a specified time that is just not feasible. In most cases they just don’t know enough about the process to understand how much is involved, so if you explain things to them they may be willing to push back the deadline. However, if they are not able to work with you on a realistic deadline, your best move is usually to pass on the job.

3. Match

Most likely there are some specific areas of design and development that are your strong points, and others where you could improve. Taking jobs that are challenging and teach new skills are good to have in your schedule, but most of your work should be a good fit with your own strengths.

4. Likes and Dislikes

Just like each design will have strengths and weaknesses, you will also have certain types of work that you enjoy doing more than others. If you want to enjoy your work more, make an effort to find work in the types of things that you like to do.

5. Workload

Another major consideration should be your workload. If you are already really busy, taking a new project will only reduce the amount of time that you have to spend on each project. As a result, your quality of work will suffer.

If you don’t have the time to add a new client to your workload, talk to them to see if they are in a position to wait a few weeks or months, whatever the case may be, until your workload will be more conducive to a new project.

Steven Snell runs a popular web design blog that includes a web free design job board to help designers find work, and to help companies find the right designer.

Any company, now matter how small or big it is, can get the much needed first impression from the logo that represents it. In today’s highly competitive market, initial impressions decide whether one can capture a potential client’s attention. Thus logo, most notably 3D logo designs, have been steadily rising in terms of demands. Creativity is always a prerequisite to designing outstanding 3D logos. It also helps that one consider the following tips to creating a top notch eye catching 3D logo designs.

Maintain simplicity. Most people often forget this aspect but simplicity is really the most important point to keep in mind. Crucial within this context is the idea of letting your client understands the products and services you offer with a simple glance at your logo. Intricate and sophisticated designs are usually difficult to reproduce. 3D logo designs are more easy to recall.

Consider the classic approach. Think long term and aim for longevity of your 3D logo design. The most important thing to remember here is how to make you logo last a lifetime. The common formula for this is to integrate type-based 3D logos. For newly established company, it is crucial to avoid five year term vision and instead follow the classic format of aiming for durability and longevity of the company. Majority of big time companies nowadays, successfully maintained their logo since its origin.

Think of the significance. In choosing a logo, put your products and services as your main consideration above aesthetic appeal. You can design the most appealing 3D graphics ever but will certainly fall short to reaching your client if it has no clear relation with your products and services. A quality 3D logo design must have more than just a memorable look but must touch the very core of your audience desire to try your products and services.

Render with vector style. Complex drawings are nice to stare at but clean and crisp lines that vector drawings are known for are always a sure hit to the eyes and minds of customers. Added to this is the fact that vector rendering shows vivid contrast and balance. Considering the advance graphic design trends present in today’s technology driven society, designers can now easily combine various features to come up with a clean 3D logo design.

3D is almost real. The most notable characteristic of 3D design is its ability to create an almost real and organic design. Even if 2D design is still being widely used, 3D design offers a viable alternative for people who prefers an almost realistic impression of just about anything.
